sneak peek ...

It's been such a busy weekend! Hope you all had a chance to relax a bit. Here's a look at a few new items ready for the shop this week. This lovely old children's book is just one of a six volumn set. It's loaded with amazing illustrations and was originally given as a gift in 1923!

A set of four old wooden casters ...

A pretty 1950s rhinestone butterfly brooch.

A vintage cross stich sampler in a simple black frame.

An enamel & copper necklace and earring set.

And finally ... more antique book bundles.

on the road again

A few photos from last week's road trip to Scottsdale - taken old school. 35mm & my little plastic camera. Big blue skies, an old neon sign, and kenny loggins on the radio. Does it get better than that?

More roadside scenery. The Courtesy Coffee Shop and wind mills outside of Palm Springs.

Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home - Taliesin West. Absolutely not to be missed if you're in the Phoenix area.

The living room as seen from the back yard and a dragon sculpture. What a cool place to visit. More photos next week...

shop update!

The shop's finally been updated! I'm trying to stick to new year's resolution # 1 - to stop hoarding things and learn how to share. So ... I've started spring cleaning a bit early. I have no idea how I ended up with so much random silverware. It seems to have multiplied over the years all by itself :)

Here's a fantastic old paper spike. It also works great for hanging up the dog leashes!

Lot's more vintage book bundles. I've been gathering old books for as long as I can remember and it's time to clean some out. They really do look fantastic displayed on a shelf!

Some pretty green glass knobs from an old dresser. I've also just listed a set of black glass knobs.
I bought a whole bunch of old grungy brass number placques at an estate auction several years ago and always intended to use them. But ... since they are still sitting in the same drawer ... it's time to sell them. Hope everyone had a great weekend! New listings in the shop all week!

sneak peek!

Happy New Year - hope everyone had a fantastic holiday! Here's a look at what's in store for the shop this week. A pretty 1950's musical note pin.

More vintage book bundles - this one is especially fantastic!

An instant collection of old jello molds and tart tins - perfect for sorting and organizing buttons and beads. Or ... use them to make fancy jello!

This little locket is one of my favorite finds. It has space for six tiny photos and was originally purchased as a souvenir!

A little tin frame in the shape of a heart - just in time for Valentine's Day! It's made out of repurposed tin and it's ooozing with charm.

Vintage film cans still in the original paper boxes. I love using these to store buttons in! Lots and lots of film reels and cans from the 1960's to list in the shop this month.

And finally ... a lovely old teapot and coffee pot with hand engraving front and back. Both are perfectly worn and begging to show off a fresh bouquet of flowers.
